"Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you ?" 2 Corinthians 13:5a

What is a vessel? A vessel is a container of some sort that is able to contain almost anything, but usually liquid. It doesn't matter what shape, size, or color a vessel is; it is still empty, and can hold the liquid.

Did you know that we as Christians are vessels? We are containers that God uses to fill. You might ask what He fills us with. Well, He fills us with Himself, the Holy Spirit. When we become a Christian we are making a decision to allow Christ to live in us. This means from that day onward Jesus Christ is living in our body. We are allowing Him to completely fill us, the vessel, with Himself. This means you let Christ and His character and love be carried out through you. You may feel cracked, broken, or unworthy as a vessel to be filled with the perfect Christ. This is all the better because what happens when a cracked cup is filled with water? It leaks out! If you are cracked Christ is going to leak out of you and others will see that He lives in you.

We need to allow ourselves to be hollow on the inside of everything and surrender our life to Christ everyday allowing Him to fill us. Have you allowed the Holy Spirit to take on your shape? Why not do it right here, right now, today and everyday?
